Room 3 at Waitohu School are doing poetry about animals

I am a rare animal

I wonder if people will skin me

I hear people say I'm poisonous

I see people destroying my home

I want them to see me for who I am

I am strange and unusual

I pretend to die in  the water so the hunters won't kill me

I feel very special

I touch the water as I swim

I worry I might be the last of my kind

I cry  when people destroy my habitat

I dart  through the water
